Give the Gift of a Garden

Hello and Happy Spring to all our Giving Gardens Customers!

We will be reopening the greenhouse on May 4th with plans in place to keep customers and staff safe. Some of these safety precautions include one-way entrance and exit into the garden center area with clearly marked signage and one-way entrance and exits into greenhouses with clearly marked signage.

Spring Hours

We will be open Monday-Saturday 8:30AM – 4:30PM

Saftey precautions

  • One-way aisles in the greenhouses with signage
  • Plenty of social distancing signage
  • Paint/arrow tape on the ground
  • Limit number of people in each greenhouse
  • Disinfect wagon handles and any other materials necessary
  • Disinfect credit cards after each swipe
  • Disinfect credit card machine after customer use
  • Staff has option to wear masks and gloves
  • 6’ social distance markers on ground/walls/counter and all around the register area
  • Plexi-glass dividers at registers
  • Disposable masks available as an option for customers
  • Hand sanitizer stations placed throughout for use by staff/employees and customers
  • Staff and employees take every precaution possible to practice social distancing

About Giving Gardens

For over 40 years, CMSE has been fostering growth by providing meaningful work for people with disabilities. This continuous dedication to growth has inspired us to create Giving Gardens, a retail nursery that features the most colorful mums, shrubs, succulents, herbs, and vegetables.

Gardening Classes

Our classes are fun and educational. The greenhouse staff enjoys sharing their knowledge and passion for gardening. Gardeners of all levels are welcome and most classes are “hands-on”. Class offerings and availability change seasonally. Be sure to check the classes page to view current offerings. We encourage you to come dig in the dirt with us!

Parent & Child Fairy Garden

We will provide a container, soil and plants, along with the knowledge to create and maintain a unique fairy garden to take home and grow! Participants must be between 9 to 14 years of age. The price covers ONE adult and ONE child.

Succulent Garden

Learn the proper way to light, water, fertilize and propagate succulents. Plant your own 10″ succulent garden to take home!

Fairy Garden

Whether you call it a fairy garden or a miniature landscape, you will enjoy this class! We will provide the container, soil and plants, along with the knowledge to create and maintain your masterpiece.
